Here is a photo from builder Stephen Leverett, SN063, from Portland, OR. Stephen is originally from Michigan, a graduate from University of Michigan, and is an engineer/programmer for Intel. He is building his Panther in a garage that he rented from someone who wasn’t using the space. He started with the tail kit to make sure this was the right build for him. He visited our shop a few weeks ago with his fiance and some family. His fiance showed me pictures of her pulling rivets on the horizontal tail. She reminded me of myself – only a couple of decades ago!
Stephen recently received the remainder of his kit to continue his build. Way to pool resources and turn your dream into a reality, Stephen!
We asked Stephen what his favorite thing about building was and he said “I’ve enjoyed learning about aircraft structures and construction techniques as well as connecting with other builders and learning from their experience.”
