Today was a very exciting day for all of team Panther! We had a great turn out for the roll out party, thank you to everyone who was able to make it today. Dan did a background briefing of how the Panther project came to be for the EAA 1379 chapter meeting, and then the majority of the chapter came down to our hangar to show support and get a look at the Panther. We also had a mixture of friends and family join us as well. For those of you who were not able to make it we have pictures here for you.
We had all of the kids pull off the sheets and there was a big round of applause. I really think people were impressed, and Dan and I both were very pleased with how the Panther is turning out. Months of hard team work from all of us, our family, friends and community were paying off. It was a little overwhelming for me for a moment.
Dan answered quite a few questions about construction, design and plans moving forward. Then we all enjoyed some pizza and each other’s company.
The weather for the Panther debut was absolutely beautiful. We rolled out to the overrun to get a few pictures in the sun shine. So – next on the agenda is to get a weight and balance. We will continue finishing touches throughout the week and start the process for inspection.
