Thanks, Bruce. Yep, the Panther will be the same 1955 Thunderbird blue the RV-3 was. But the Panther won't be quite so plain.

Hi Tony,

Looking really good! Hope you didn't let the cat out of the bag on the panel shot with the color scheme ;) ? Either way I check your site daily for updates and study your work. Great tutorial.

Thanks again for your contributions to the site, forums, and the homebuilding community. Really all of you folks, Thank you!

Bruce Gray

2 Corvair motors tore down then see Bob W. preliminary numbers on the lyc.150. Hmmm... Then there's the 3.3L Corvair stroker. Ah, all the choices!

Hi Chris,

I am near the Dayton Airpark in the Golf Course community. I'm situated more towards the NE development of homes as Paul is down on the SW end of the runway in the custom lots. When I was building the RV8 there was no one out here and now that the 8 is gone everyone has an RV. Started another tail section to an 8 due to seller/builders remorse but slow going now that I'm tearing a Corvair motor down.
I have the manuals for a 3 and always have wanted a 3 but now I found the "Panther". Hmmm, saw it googling something aviation and read everything I could on it. Kitplanes broke out a full lay out of it and Paul even test flew it. Now I want to build one. Funny how that works huh!

Maybe when you get settled in your new place and get building again I'll have to jump over the hill and look at the project.

Take care,

Bruce Gray

Tony,

Good to hear, well not the cold. North western Nevada has been in the upper 60's and hit low 70's this last Sarurday. Go figure. Not much snow on the mountains which creates a whole lot of other problems for California and Nevada.
I guess I can get the shop/garage in order with the good weather to start something this spring besides the motor(maybe panther airframe  ).
I think I can speeak for a lot of us but really look forward to your updates and the cool tricks you drum up in the hanger of yours.

Take care and talk to you soon.

Thanks, Bruce!

Currently waiting on my hangar to warm up a bit and the UPS truck to deliver more parts. Hopefully both will happen soon. The engine is ready to hang, but think I would like to get back in the swing with some of the piddly stuff first.

Hi Tony,

Just a quick hello and hope this email finds you doing well(better). I see your posts with other builders and wondering if you have been doing any building yourself?

Hang in there and remember no matter what it is as long as it's something your one step closer.

Take Care,

Bruce Gray

Paul,

Any issues with the flush on the sides? That is the direction I was thinking of going, so there would not be the dimple depression on two edges of the thin square tube and to save some work for no gain.
