Rivet grip gauge

Post by Sacpilot »

Howdy,

Just thought I would pass on a tip that I found. I looked far and wide for a grip gauge for Cherry N and A rivets, that you can stick through your surfaces and determine/verify proper rivet length quickly. But found none. Then I realized that Spruce had a column on the river page that shows "equivalent cherry max grip reach". So it seems like you can get a grip gauge for $8 that will work with this kit even though the gauge is for cherry max. You can just convert from N rivets to Max dimensions wih table. See below. Hope it helps.
