Roger that. It's funny the visions of grandeur we have, when we go about building or setting up a shop, thinking oh I'll have plenty of room for this and that, and no problem keeping it organized, and neat, like this and that....
Yea right...
LOL

Now I get it. Put shelves under the top of the benches so you have a place to store some of the parts as they are shipped and/or completed. My plan is to always keep the top clear of anything that is not being worked on at the time. LOL, I know, good luck with that.

I think he's saying they both wind up being a catch-all for various things.
Scrape away clearance enough to have room to build on them.

3x6 is for storing stuff. 4x14 is for storing stuff. Scrape an appropriately sized hole when you need room to build.

Are those all the benches needed for the Panther? I am assuming the 3 X 6 is for the tail kit and the 4 X 14 is for the wing kit?

I am building these now.

Dan,

20x24 is plenty big enough. I built a Sonex in a garage that size.3x6 and 4x14 benches on one side and open space on the other.

Tools here: https://picasaweb.google.com/tonyboytoo/PantherToolList# Your RV buds will most likely have the specialized tools you'll need.

Wing spars here: https://picasaweb.google.com/tonyboytoo ... 57S_661_AE#
Those are prototype spars. Hope to get started on production spars/wings next week.

Take the time to read all the messages on PantherCave. And on the next rainy day, go back to the beginning of Rachel's Blog and read it all. Best Panther history lesson you'll ever get!

Prototype wings here: https://picasaweb.google.com/tonyboytoo ... 8-W1udigEQ#
Production wings look the same, but there have been minor changes.

I have a 20 X 24 shop that I think will be adequate for building until I need to move it to the hangar for more space.

I am now cleaning it out to get ready for building when the first shipment arrives. What sort of benches, tables, general tools, etc, are desirable to have ready. I am hoping to be able to plan for the shipments to arrive close to the time that I am ready for them.
