Hi George - there are no options at this point for scratch building the welded components. The only ones who have welded them are SPA and their team.

thank you Tony for your re --I could set it all up With the spar plates to make sure they fit --have there been any
other builders who welded up this gage with gas or tig that I could talk with and maybe even see what type of jig
they made --I have welded up airframes and understand how easy It can be to make one mistake too many--!
anyway I'd like to talk with some other scratch builders of this bird if there is a way on one of these builders forums
or some way to get an E-M add.to send a PM -- thanks again

Hi George,
From the FAQ's: "Plans do not include cockpit design/welded 4340 cage. You will have to purchase this from us directly".
The cage is welded up in some pretty heavy-duty fixtures. Get something just a few thou off, and there's a good chance the wings, or some other critical item, won't fit. For the same reason, the spar stiffener plates must also be purchased from SPA.

I didn't really pay attention to how the Panther was welded until I saw the painted Panther welded frame photos. These look like Mig welds to me. Is the Panther frame Mig or Tig welded?
