Prospective builder

My name is Andy. I live in Central Illinois and really like what I see in the Panther as my first airplane build.
I am aiming for a long wing, tri-gear plane and would like to go with a larger UL engine (350). I see a few partially finished kits out there that I have considered but all are tailwheel planes, probably made before SPA started putting both gear options in the steel cage.
I really like the design and Dan seems like a solid guy, but I am a little concerned that most of the posts I see on this forum are 4 years or more old, except for someone writing in Arabic lettering and someone else spamming Yeezy a lot. Are there any current builders out there still on this forum? Have the builders moved to some other platform for this purpose? Is there a better way to get in touch with current or former builders and flyers of these aircraft?
