Yes, this problem surfaced with the early kits. I cured mine with a small bend. Fits nice and tight now.

Good catch!
From a Rachel posting on 9/15/13:
... trim the spar channel to 3/8 inch below the last rivet hole. This fix is already implemented in future kit parts. This is correctly depicted on the plans sheet.
No clue what I had for breakfast this morning, but I remember everything about all 1082 posts that have been made

Before I butcher one of my beautiful tail kit parts please take a look at the pictures below and tell me if I need to shorten the bottom of the P-T-VT-fwd spar channel. It overlaps the stiffener at the bend and you can see light between the parts.
