Mine is 8' long and about 2' wide. I put a small section of plywood on each end to give a little more room on the front end, width wise. I have 2 of those tables and also have 4X8 sheets of plywood to put on top, for a larger surface if needed, but I think I am past needing the wider surface. But when I put the two fuselage sections together, then I will need both the tables at their 2' wide configuration.

I just need to get these wings finished and down to the hangar to have enough room to do that, when the time comes.

I hope to finish countersinking the longerons tomorrow, and get started setting the skins on the front fuselage.

Daniel - trying to figure out my build space, about how big a work table is needed to build that rear fuse?

I need to amend my previous reply. I had not considered that I already had many clecos being used on the two wings, where it had to be left un-finished, waiting for the fuel tanks. I took most of those from the wings and they were enough for me to complete what I could on the TC.

TC is now just waiting for a few parts, so until those arrive, I will move on to the Forward Fuselage. Thanks to SPA for bringing this to me at Barnwell. I did not ask, they just did it and I think it was very thoughtful of them to do so.

I don't know how many #40 that I have because RVs are built mostly with #40 and I have a lot of RV friends who have finished their planes. I think I have about 100 #30 and that was not enough to do all the up-drilling, so much of that will have to be done on Tuesday when my order for 50 more #30 arrives. I think you could juggle them around, but I am a bit paranoid about everything not being totally locked down when the drilling starts. I like to have a cleco in at least every other hole.

Looks good Dan, was 100 #30 and 100 #40 clecos enough to put that thing together?

I thought that completing a wing would make an awesome post, but in the end, I did not get so pumped up about it. But, for some reason, getting the basic assembly of the tail cone finished today, made me feel great. I guess because I had a lot of anxiety about it, going in, and it turned out to be a very neat assembly with almost no frustration. Like Tony posted once, "This thing looks like it will put itself together". Well, it took some persistence, but it almost did. There is still a lot to do, but I think it is starting to look like an airplane.
