Fred,
The wire you are looking for is McMaster-Carr # 9667K54,
https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/125/3930
That part # includes 3 pieces of 1065 Spring Steel Wire, 0.120" Diameter, 3 Feet Long. The pack of 3 pieces costs $7.15, and you will have enough for three airplanes.

I had thought of that, but it's only 0.89 versus the .125 called out for in the plans. I was trying to go with the .125.. (it probably doesn't make that much difference).
Thanks for the reply

I believe there should be some leftover from the elevator/trim tab installation, but if not order some Stainless hinge pin from Aircraft Spruce.

Can someone give me a source for the .125 piano wire that's used for the canopy quick release? I checked McMaster Carr. Not really sure which one to get, but either way, you have to buy it in one foot lengths (too short) or coils ( to long). Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
Thanks,
Fred
