This is the one I used: HEATER BYPASS VALVE WITH CABIN SIDE CONTROL LEVER Part# 08-01311. It went in real easy and didn't take up a lot of space but I'm still working on mine so don't know how it works yet.

Ok, thanks for the input, everyone.I will be putting in a cabin heat box. I am thinking of the ACS Stainless steel Deluxe, Part# 08-04025.

Heat for mine! My RV is comfortable, but at high altitude in the winter the heat is nice to have.

I'm putting cockpit heat in mine, although I live in Florida. I've flown my RV north in the winter time and the bubble canopy didn't keep me anywhere near warm enough.

I am curious if most builders are installing a cabin heater, and if it is really necessary.
I live in northern Ohio and I am currently flying an Ercoupe. The Ercoupe, like the Panther is a low wing with a bubble canopy. In all honesty, because of all of the sunlight that comes in through the canopy, I have never needed to use the cabin heat. As a matter of fact, i eventually ended up disconnecting the scat tube to the box because it got TOO warm in the cockpit.

Therefore, I'm not sure if the cabin heat is necessary in this plane or not. Any input about cold weather flying would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Fred
