We consider any long wing Panther an LS regardless of installed engines, or the elevator mass balance weights. All LONG WING aircraft must use Panther LS “V speeds”! The Panther LS can meet the US, “LSA” (Light Sport Aircraft with no medical required) rules with certain speed, power, and weight limits. The limits and specifications are broken into separate groups for both the Airframe and the Light Sport Class. It should be noted that all Panther Aircraft are certified as Experimental Amateur Built (EAB). If you intend to operate under the “LSA” rules you will need to make sure to use the LS (LSA) operating limits for your certification paperwork.
