1. Cut hinge one hinge tab down to 3/8” as shown in picture below, cut hinge to 58 7/8” as per plans (left hinge shown). Drill hinge using upper wing skin as shown in the wing manual, do not drill holes in areas where rib will be located. Mark and drill these holes at installation of the hinge. Position hinge on flap using same technique as with the ailerons. The 3/8” long tab should be flush with the outboard edge of the flap skin.
2. Transfer drill all #40 holes in hinge through the flap skin and ribs along length of flap. A drill stop is highly recommended to prevent damage to skins.
