If installed, remove the lower rivet from the exhaust tunnel side fairing on both sides. Leave the lower cowling in place, but remove the upper cowling.
Fit bracket on the tunnel, flange for cowling should point outboard.
Angle of the bracket flange may need to be adjusted for proper fit.
Use a strap hole duplicator to locate and drill the lower hole.
Using a long drill bit, transfer drill the holes in the bracket into the cowling.
Working from the bottom, enlarge to 0.169” for #8 screws.
Drill and countersink for the rivets to hold anchor nuts in place.
