1. In order to drill the mounting holes for the flap detent plate, a long drill bit is used, and run through the rear spar box on the left side of the fuselage. During wing rigging, there are shims and guide blocks that will be installed in that area, so we are putting this in now.
2. The edge of the flap detent plate needs to be chamfered to fit around the weld on the lower fuselage tube
3. Clamp the detent plate in position, and verify that it is a tight fit between the back of the plate and the lower fuselage tube.
4. Use a long 3/16” drill bit to transfer drill through bracket into flap detent plate.
5. Install detent plate with 2 AN3-5A bolts
