Overview
Working with the Poly Sulfide sealant can be messy, and for some intimidating. Do not be afraid of this step. Do your best work. Go slow and commit to doing it right the first time.
Building a leak free tank is more attitude than skill.
Cover you work area with something disposable.
Things we recommend having on hand:
• Α box of disposable gloves that fit well but are easy to get on. We use Nitrile 7 mil, but anything you like will work.
• 100% Acetone
• Lint free towels
•Cheap paper towels for cleanup (we use the blue “shop” towels)
• Use small ½ inch wide stiff bristle brushes (acid brushes) with the bristles cut down
to about 3/8” as an applicator
• 1 inch wide “putty knife” is helpful
• Popsicle sticks
• Paper plates
