1. Pictures below show a P4907 control box bearing. Note the different size of the hole the bearing is in. One side has a flange that keeps the bearing from coming out, and the resulting hole is smaller in diameter. This side should be placed against mounting flange on control box.
Bolt is AN4-11a
2. Install forward control bearing on control box. Bolt is AN4-11a
3. Install bearing block on rear flange, same hardware as on front.
4. Fit both BC4W10 bearings to control stick box, opening may have to be enlarged slightly for bearing to fit. When inserting the stick note that the bends should off set the control stick to the front of the aircraft, for clearance of the pilots center girth (aka beer belly). See below - it is correct.
Below is INCORRECT!
Cleco one bearing to box, then insert AN4-30A bolt with AN960-416 washer under head, 1 AN960-416L washer between stick and bearing, the stick, then another AN960-416L washer, the second bearing then AN960-416 and a nut. Similar to the mounting bearings, the BC4W10 bearings have a flange on one side to hold the bearing in place. That side has a slightly smaller diameter opening for the bearing. That face should be against the control stick on both sides. The bolt should be tight, so that the bearing rotates and the bolt and bearings rotate as an assembly, but do not bind. You may need to add another thin washer between the stick and the bearing to accomplish this.
5. View showing stick assembled into box. You will want to leave one bearing clecoed into position and use a non-locking nut until rigging is complete. The other bearing can be riveted in now if preferred using 12 CCP-44 rivets.
6. Install control stick stop P4902. It is easier to install with stick removed. While this one is red, yours will be white Nylon
7. Install stick assembly in aircraft using 4 AN525-10R24 bolts.
