Drilling Aileron joiner and rear spar

1.  Once everything is set; you can drill through the aileron paddle bushing on the fuselage into the angle mounted on rib 1 of the wing.  Using a 6” or slightly longer ¼” drill bit in a right angle drill makes it easier.

2.  From inside the fuselage using a ¼” drill, drill through the rear spar, and into the gusset behind the spar.  Take care to make sure the drill is straight, (We know the drill isn’t straight in the picture, but it is hard to hold the drill and take a picture by yourself).

3.  Both wings can be removed at this point.  Aileron pushrods will be installed next, so having them upside down on sawhorses is helpful.
