1. Install 2 Aurora MW5 rod ends with ¼”ID and 3/16” bushings installed on the P4612 forward elevator pushrod with 2 AN-316-5R check nuts. Rod ends should be screwed on all the way to start. The attachment hardware to the elevator reversing arm varies with type of elevator counterbalance, see section 5.1.6 for more info.
Note: Rod end must have 15/32 inches (11.9mm) minimum of bolt thread into the rod end
2. Elevator reversing arm attachment. It is recommended to leave the spring tab, large washers and nut off until the pushrod length has been set.
3. Attach pushrod to control stick using AN3-11A bolt
4. Temporarily install bottom seat leg rests. Adjust rod ends until the control stick in the forward left or right position does not hit upper spar box tube.
5. After pushrod is adjusted, tighten AN316-5R check nuts against MW5 rod ends on both ends. Install rest of hardware on elevator reversing arm per step 2.
