Final Flap and Aileron alignment

NOTE: after installing the flap control arms, it will be very difficult to install 2 rivets in the aft portion of the seat bottom.  You will want to be sure that is in place before continuing.

1. The flap control arms are a little too long, and needs to be cut down to fit in the flap.  Cut approximate a ¼” off the end and round over.

2.  Install flap control arms into the fuselage for both sides.

5. Check position of the aileron trailing edge on both wings with a long straight edge, in the same manner as working on initial aileron rigging.

6. Adjust the bolts on the aileron paddles until the trailing edges of the aileron are aligned with the tooling holes in the wing ribs.

WARNING: These adjustments can affect how easily your wing pins slide in.  Check your wing pins and readjust as necessary.

7. After ailerons have been aligned, move flaps until the trailing edge is aligned with the trailing edge of the ailerons.  After both sides of flaps are aligned, you can drill through the flap tube in the fuselage for an AN3 bolt.
