1. This picture shows the mounting of the U-joint to the wing fold tube and to the tripod. Use the U-joint to check for the clearance at the end of the wing fold tripod. You can however bolt the U-joint clip to the wing fold tube now.
2. Tube can be inserted into the wing so that the end is visible through the access hole on the bottom of the wing. Insert an AN4-23A bolt through the hole in the tube, and attach an AN960PD10 washer and MS21044N4 nut. NOTE: a spray on dry film lubricant on the tube reduces the friction and noise of sliding the tube through the nylon blocks. This is a periodic maintenance item.
3. View showing wing slide tube attached to the tripod. A second person is required to move the wingtip as necessary to insert AN4-23A bolt. Try sliding the wing in and out, if you feel binding when the U-joint gets close to the nylon block in rib 4, you may need to add some additional shims. Start with the left wing, then the right wing. The left wing is the first one unfolded and the last one done when folding the wings.
