We have recently switched to a second method of installing ribs, which is easier and quicker. A brief description follows read entire Method 1 above and see all notes on rivets etc.
1. Clean all ribs and skin
2. Mix about 60-70 Grams of sealant
3. Apply a liberal coat of sealant around the perimeter of each rib and cleco with two clecos in each rib to the bottom side of the skin
4. With all ribs installed as in photo grab skin by top and bottom aft side, wrap the skin around ribs and push the skin into the “saddles “.
5. Install 2 clecos in each rib in top side
6. Install rivets as per method 1 (see notes)
7. Finish all ribs and rivets per method 1
